Jaffer Injured, out for 3 weeks! Charu Shama is out too!!

Bangalore Royal Challengers have been having a tough time in the inaugural Indian Premier League, losing five of their seven matches and then seeing their CEO Charu Sharma being replaced by former India Test player Brijsh Patel.

And, just when one thought things couldn't get any worse for the Royal Challengers, has come the news that opening batsman Wasim Jaffer has suffered a fracture in his hand and will be out of action for the next three weeks.

He was injured during the game against Chennai Super Kings on April 28, and couldn't even hold the bat in the match against Kings XI Punjab on Monday night. Jaffer, who has made 110 runs from five matches in the IPL at a strike rate of 111.11.

The injury comes at a bad time for Jaffer, who was just starting to prove himself in the Twenty20 format. It may be a bigger blow for the Challengers though as one of their most consistent players in the tournament is now on the sidelines.

Their their next match against Kolkata Knight Riders is a crucial one for Bangalore and they have to try something different including the opening at the Eden Gardens on May 8 to be in the competition.
