The first hundred was scored by Brendom McCullum (Kolkata Knight Riders) against Bangalore Royal Challengers in the very first match of the IPL. He in fact crossed 150 mark and was unbeaten on 158 in just 73 balls which had 10 fours and 13 sixes. Until now, 32nd match in IPL 3 edition, he is the highest individual scorer.
Second top scorer is Andrew Symonds from Deccan Chargers. He scored unbeaten 117 in 53 balls which had 11 fours and 7 sixes against Rajasthan Royals in 2008.
There are 3 Indians in the list--Manish Pandey off Bangalore Royal Challengers scoring unbeaten 114 in 73 balls with 10 fours and 4 sixes. His century came against Deccan Chargers in 2009 edition.
The second Indian is Yousuf Pathan. He is the record holder for the fastest hundred in IPL. His 100 came against Sachin lead Mumbai Indians in just 37 balls which had 9 fours and 8 sixes, in 2010.
The other Indian is Murali Vijay from Chennai Super Kings against Rajasthan Royals. In a record breaking match where CSK scored 246 for 5, the highest in IPL, Murali Vijay contributed with 127 off just 56 balls. He sent the ball 8 times to boundary line and 11 times out of the boundary. A six went out of the MA Chidambaram Stadium. CSK won by 23 runs.
