Sehwag did not help with the bat, but Dinesh Karthik proved that he is worth for Delhi and helped see through the victory. He played brilliant shots--pull, scoop over fine leg and took the match away from Mumbai. Dinesh scored his first 50, and he scored 56 not out off 32 balls with 4 fours and 3 sixes.
For Mumbai, Jayasuriya once again played a firing knock. He scored 66 off 42 balls with 6 fours and 5 sixes. Uthappa scored 46 not out off 23 balls.
