Bangalore Royal Challengers captain Kevin Pietersen was warned by IPL for showing dissent to the umpire's decision in the match against CSK.
In the match between Chennai Super Kings and Bangalore Royal Challengers held on April 20, 2009, Chennai won by 92 runs. Pietersen was declared LBW off Muralitharan's doosra. Though the decision was a bad one, as per the rules, the batsmen are not expected to show any dissent.
Kevin Pietersen showed dissent and hence he was warned by IPL. Since this is the first incident and not serious enough to be punished, he was let off with the warning.
