With Hayden and Patel dismissed early in the innings, CSK were under pressure to put a decent total which can be restricted.
At the end of power play, CSK were 40 for 2 inclding the 14 scored of Y Pathan's over. The momentum was built during the 9th over bowled by Trivedi in which Raina scored 3 fours. He also hit 2 fours in the 10th over to take the score to 81 for 2.
Badrinath's 29 helped CSK build parternship for the 3rd wicket. He was stumped off Warne trying to slog.
Oram didn't succeed as he got out for 2. At the end of 15 overs, CSK were 104 for 4 with Raina on 65 and Dhoni on 2.
Raina hit 2 fours of Trivedi's over again during 17th over. He then hit the strike bowler Kamaran Khan for 3 sixes in the 18th over and added 24 to the total.
Rajasthan Royals lost wickets regularly and was never in the game. Yousuf Pathan once again looked dangerous as he hit 3 fours of his 20 in 13 balls, but his regular shot ended as a catch at long off. RA Jadeja top scored for RR with 37.
Balaji picked 4 wickets for 21 runs while Morkal and Oram picked 2 each.
