Mumbai Indians are in trouble against Bangalore Royal Challengers in their first encounter today. The start was slow as Praveen Kumar bowled a maiden over against Jayasuriya.
Jayasuriya scored a four in the 2nd over and Sachin hit 2 fours in Praveen's next over.
The fourth over completely changed the match as the debutant Dillon du Preez took two wickets in continuous balls. Sachin trying to drive through covers, got thick outside edge and went straight to Dravid at slips.
Rahane played the same shot and the result was same, except that the catch went to Uthappa at first slip.
Hat-trick was saved by Duminy though there was an unsuccessful appeal. Duminay took it on the pads. It was pitched on the off stump and moving away. Height was also a factor. He bowled a super double-wicket maiden over--the second one in the IPL.
But Duminy did not stay for long in the crease as he got out for a rash shot to du Preez giving him his third wicket. Coming down the track, the ball took the bottom edge on the way to Boucher.
As of now, MI is struggling with 28 for 3 in 7 overs.
